TRAINING ... STICK IT IN YOUR DIARY! "Ladies, Both the 1sts & 2nds had their first match this weekend so the season is now underway. On a serious note : We are very fortunate to have Aaron coaching us this season & he has kindly given up his time on a Thursday evening to help us. Can I ask you all to make an effort to come to training this week. The next few weeks are important with regard to team selection. In conjunction with Aaron we will be selecting the squads early to try & get both teams settled & familiar so we all play better together. Both teams gave 110% on Friday/Saturday but that’s not to say we were flawless & these need to be worked on. Aaron has a wealth of knowledge & skill, with his help we all can improve but he needs the numbers to allow him to do set pieces & skills training. The bottom line is if we do not turn up to training in sufficient numbers we will lose Aaron which would be so unfortunate & a missed opportunity for the club. I appreciate some simply are unable to attend but could you please show a little commitment over the coming weeks which will make training more fun for all involved. After all….that's why we play - the fun factor!! Can you let me know if you are unable to train & also pass this on to those I may have missed. See you Thursday." Wendy (Sept '08)
